Quick action can save a tooth. Here’s what to do while you’re on your way to our Carrollwood office.
Handle the tooth by the crown (the chewing surface), not the root. If it’s dirty, rinse it briefly with water — don’t scrub it. Try to gently place it back in the socket, or keep it moist in a cup of milk or in your cheek. Get to us as quickly as possible; teeth re-implanted quickly have the best chance of being saved.
Rinse your mouth with warm water and gently floss around the tooth to remove any trapped food. A cold compress on the cheek can ease swelling. Avoid placing aspirin directly on the gums — it can burn the tissue.

Toothaches don’t check the calendar. Our regular hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, with evening and Saturday appointments available by request.
